Charlotte Bankes earned her third World Cup win of the season with victory in the snowboard cross in Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy. The Brit beat Eva Adamczykova and Michela Moioli, who completed the podium, with Lea Casta, the Frenchwoman, finishing fourth. Chloe Trespeuch, Casta’s compatriot, continues to lead the way in the overall rankings. Eliot Grondin won the men’s event.

The Briton took the win ahead of Eva Adamczykova, who edged out Michela Moioli into third with Lea Casta fourth in the big final.
Victory moved Bankes up to third in the snowboard cross standings, ahead of Josie Baff who finished first in the small final.
Chloe Trespeuch continues to lead the way despite the Frenchwoman finishing fourth in the small final behind compatriot Julia Pereira de Sousa Mabileau and Australia’s Belle Brcokhoff.
The men’s big final saw Eliot Grondin earn his fifth victory of the season to cement his place at the top of the standings.
The Canadian has now won over half of all races so far this season, and sits 372 points ahead of Alessandro Haemmerle.
In Italy, victory came ahead of American Jake Vedder, with Jarryd Hughes of Australia taking third.
Silver was enough to move Vedder up to seventh and within striking distance of the overall podium, with third place Cameron Bolton finishing first in the small final.
