When is the French Open men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev and what is the order of play and schedule for Sunday, June 9 at Roland-Garros? The Grand Slam is nearing its conclusion with Alcaraz and Zverev set to clash for the men’s title. Both are making their Roland-Garros final debut, aiming for their first title on the Parisian dirt. Zverev leads the pair’s head-to-head 5-4.

The final day of the 2024 French Open will be headlined by the men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.

World No. 3 Alcaraz will bid to win the French Open title for the first time in his nascent career and build on his previous US Open and Wimbledon crowns.

Zverev, the fourth seed, is appearing in only his second ever Grand Slam final, having lost to Dominic Thiem in his first at the US Open in 2020.

The women’s doubles final, seeing Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini face Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova, will also take place on Sunday.

This will be a mouth-watering encounter between the two in-form players on clay.

Zverev has come through a tricky draw, beating 14-time champion Rafael Nadal in his opening round before defeating David Goffin, enduring five-set marathons against Talon Griekspoor and Holger Rune, before beating Alex de Minaur and Casper Ruud in the quarter-finals and semi-finals.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, beat the new world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in a five-set thriller in his semi-final, but had only dropped one set before that, in his second round to Dutch qualifier Jesper de Jong.

The Spaniard has beaten JJ Wolf, Sebastian Korda, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Stefanos Tsitsipas as well en route to the final.

Zverev leads the pair’s head-to-head record 5-4, but Alcaraz won their most recent encounter at Indian Wells in the quarter-finals 6-3 6-1.

They have met three times on clay, with Alcaraz winning twice, but Zverev beat the Spaniard in the quarter-finals of the French Open back in 2022.

The French Open men’s final will be live and on-demand on discovery+.
